OK, it's time to delve into the nitty gritty topic of Wedding Favors.

Let's be honest, do you really think that your guests are just dying for a cute monogramed box of Jordan almonds, or their fifth bottle opener of wedding season, that let's face it,  breaks the first time they use it? The answer is an astounding NO! They absolutely do not!

More often than not, we discover that wedding favors are a complete after thought. Worse yet, they look like it.  If you are only getting something so that you "have something," it's a waste.  If you feel like it's expected, think about how you feel when you attend a wedding... do you want these silly trinkets?  Or would you prefer maybe an extra choice on the stations, or an added top shelf liquor option?  When you think about the dollars and cents of the favors,  you could really get more "bang for your buck" by spending the same amount of money for upgrades in other areas. Many times, favors are left behind to only be thrown away at the end of the  night, which kills us because we see it as money being thrown away that could've been spent on something else.

HOWEVER, if you have well thought-out favors that represent you as a couple or perhaps your venue or where you live, this is something that would be money well spent. For example, we had a couple who's favorite Key West beverage is the Mojito, so they gave each guest a muddler with their names, the date, and their favorite mojito recipe embossed in the wood. Another couple's parents were bee keepers, so they gave each guest a jar of locally made honey from their own bees!

It all boils down to this: your wedding was not an after thought, you put time and effort into the relationship and every other aspect of planning the day (your dress, the menu, etc.). Do not let your favors be an after thought.
